Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, property data) and information generated through your use of the platform (usage analytics, device info, IP address). We do not sell your data to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to operate the Locus platform, process payments, send transactional communications, and improve our services. Property and tenant data is stored securely and only accessible to authorized users on your account.
3. Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers essential to platform operation (payment processing, email delivery, cloud hosting). All providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
4. Data Security
All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We maintain SOC 2 Type II compliance and conduct regular third-party security audits. Access controls are role-based with MFA required for all admin accounts.
5. Data Retention
Active account data is retained for the duration of your subscription. Upon account deletion, personal data is purged within 30 days. Financial records are retained for 7 years per regulatory requirements.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal data, the right to correction, the right to deletion, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to object to processing, the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing — including profiling — that produces legal or similarly significant effects (GDPR Art. 22; you may request human review, contest the decision, and express your point of view), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email privacy@locusprop.app to exercise these rights. California residents have additional rights under CCPA.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) where legally required. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals because no common technical standard defines how websites should interpret them.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies (opt-in only) help us understand platform usage. You can manage cookie preferences at any time from your account settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect.
